Christmas CAD utilities given out again by CAD Studio

Christmas time is coming and so CAD Studio gives out again a bunch of free useful CAD tools for all CAD users. As a part of this tradition, this year's Christmas-tree utilities by CAD Studio are:

• GeoCode - a useful add-on for AutoCAD (all flavours of the version 2014) which gives the steet address of any point in the current drawing/map. After you position your drawing to a real-world location with the AutoCAD function LiveMaps (GEOGRAPHICLOCATION), you can get the nearest full address (street, number, ZIP, city) of any clicked point. This tool for "reverse geocoding" uses online connection and offers also other macro functions.
• Click2OO - we support not only commercial office packages but also the open application OpenOffice. Click2OO is a variant of our older popular utility Click2XLS, which transfers coordinates of clicked point to an Excel table. Similarly, the new Click2OO automatically fills coordinates of clicked points to a table in a spreadsheet calculator OpenOffice/StarOffice Calc.
• ShortPath - solves the classic mathematical "travelling salesman problem" (TSP). It searches and draws the shortest path connecting the selected points in AutoCAD. In some complicated cases in may not find the absolutely shortest path but the almost shortest. We recommend to use it for max. tens or hundreds of points, the solution complexity grows substantially. The result may be useful not only for travelling salesmen but also e.g. for wire circuits, X-Y dril machines, transport of components, etc.

• FlipDimArrow2 - a small AutoCAD utility for swapping dimension arrows (inside/outside) in selected dimensions
• Scatter - brings pseudo-random controlled "chaos" to your projects. Trees in an orchard, or along a parkway do not neccessarily need to form a regular array, similarly cars in a parking, loitering crowds, or shrubs in a park. The Scatter function moves, rotates or scales individual objects for a small, random factor, in 2D or in 3D.
• FaceArea - calculates the total surface area of the selected 3DFace objects - e.g. surface of a 3D mesh body or a digital terrain model (TIN)
• LinkText - dynamically links contents of selected drawing texts - you can easily repeat and synchronize exact texts for legends, multiple layouts, etc.
• ImportUCS - imports named user coordinate systems from another DWG drawing file
• Inventor keyboard shortcuts - do you know all predefined hotkeys in Inventor? Our newest PDF table lists all shortcuts defined in Inventor 2014 (in Czech). You can print it to your noticeboard.
