VaultADSync - synchronize Vault with MS Active Directory

Probably all administrators of the PDM software Autodesk Vault in large companies do - sooner or later - face the need of easier user management. All is changing - people get new work assignments in the individual projects, employees are coming and going, female employees get married and change their surnames, new projects are created with related new groups with separate access rights. Maintaining all these changes is a quite disturbing process. But most of these changes just reflect those changes which are already done - which are primarily performed in the enterprise user database, in the domain Active Directory.

A new application by CAD Studio, VaultADSync, simplifies the processes of maintaining Vault user database by its automatic synchronization from the Microsoft Active Directory user database. So most changes will be completed fully automatically, without any manual settings in Autodesk Vault.

VaultADSync is a command line utility - you can schedule it to run automatically e.g. twice a day or twice an hour. Using a wildcard mask, you can specify which accounts and which user groups will be synchronized from the AD to the PDM system.

CAD Studio offers also other tools for Autodesk Vault, e.g. Vault Tools, Vault Publisher, Vault Notify, Vault Copy State, etc.
